Brilliant sunshine favoured the opening of the sccond-day programme of the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting. The going was still heavy. Results were: —
Highweight Handicap.—B-8 Corowa (L. Dulieu), 1; 3-3 Jewelled Girdle (J. F. Fergus), 2; 1-1 Cape Gabo (V. Langford), 3. Scratched: Huskie, and Southern Blood. Won by half a length, and three-quarters of a length. Time, 2.39 J. Trial Plate. —1-1 Young Paddon ]<H. Long), 1; 18-18 Auto Sweep _££• P. Shield), 2; 11-9 Le Touquet (B. H. Morris), 3. All started. Won by three lengths, and a head. Time, 1.211. Corruna Hurdles. —1-1 Blue Tiger (C. McGovern), 1; 2-2 Giggieswick (V. Langford,) 2: 5-5 Unexpected (C. Thompson), 3. All strated. Won by 12 lentghs, and eight lengths. Time, 3.35.
