LEADER ON THE COAST

(Special to the Herald,) RUATORIA, this day. The Leader of the Opposition and the leader of the National Party, the Hon. A. Hamilton, addressed three meetings on the Coast yesterday, commencing with Tolaga Bay in the morning, Tokomaru Bay in the afternoon, and Ruatoria at night. Good audiences gave him an enthusiastic reception at each place.

Mr. Hamilton left Ruatoria this morning on his return to Gisborne, en route to Wairoa, where he is to speak to-night.
