DAIRY ZONING PLAN

POSITION IN MANAWATU VISIT BY COMMISSION (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ this day. Following lengthy negotiations since the proposals were first put forward, the Executive Commission of Agriculture and members of the Dairy Board met representatives of butter factories in the Manawatu district today in an attempt to reach finality regarding the scheme for the zoning of supply, formulated on behalf of the commission by Mr. H. G. Mills, Palmerston North, and Mr. J. McDonald, Cheltenham, botli factory managers. The latter some time ago prepared a plan for retaining the present volume of supply of individual companies, but framed so that they should draw their allocations from the areas nearest their factories. There has been some disagreement among the factories concerning acceptance of .the plan; hence the commission’s visit in an effort to reach a settlement.
