DEATH AT CONCERT

NOTRE DAME ORGANIST PARIS, June 3. M. Louis Vierne, 77-year-old almost totally blind organist, died last night while playing a concert of his own compositions before a large audience in Notre Dame Cathedral. M. Vierne slumped forward in his seat as he struck the last chord of a three-part piece. A friend who was a doctor sprang to his side and discovered that M. Vierne had died instantly from a blood clot. M. Vierne was virtually blind from birth. He ’was the Notre Dame organist since 1900. ,
