LAST YEAR’S RESULTS
In I heir fifty-third annual report, the directors of Perpetual Trustees, Estate and Agency Company, Limited, Dunedin. slate that the amount brought forward from the previous year was £3387 3s 4d, from which had since been paid income tax for that year, an interim dividend of £1250 for the. half-year ended October 31, 1936. and the company’s contribution to the staff benefit fund, leaving a balance of £562 16s 8(1. The profit for the year just ended amounted to £5863 16s 9d, and the available balance is £6426 13s sd. The directors recommend that the balance be dealt with as follows: To payment of a dividend of Is per share for the half-year ended April 30. 1937, £1250; to writing off premises, £2OB 8s 10s; to writing off office furniture and fittings, £2lO 10s 2d; to staff benefit fund contributions, £750; investments fluctuation account, £750; to carry forward to next, year (subject to income tax for the year just ended), £3257 14s sd.
