NEW PRIME MINISTER TRIBUTE TO LORD BALDWIN (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.ni. RUGBY, May 31. Mr. Neville Chamberlain was received with loud cheers on his first appearance in the House of Commons as Prime Minister. Immediately after questions. the Leader of the Opposition, Major C. R. Attlee, paid a tribute to Earl Baldwin in which Sir Archibald Sinclair, the Liberal leader, joined. Mr. Chamberlain replied. Major Attlee said that future historians would doubtless disagree as the Opposition agreed about the merits and demerits of Lord Baldwin’s polity and actions, but lie was certain they would he one in acclaiming him as a great Parliamentarian who Ipossessed ill a singular degree the faculty of judging the temper of the House and responding to its moods.
