BOXING
PARKS IN TRAINING “Tiger” Parks, who is to meet Barney Downs in Gisborne on June 9 m a professional welterweight match, is to give a display of his training methods at Johnny Summers’ gymnasium this evening, the display including spar, ring exhibitions with prominent Gisborne amateurs. Barney Downs is due in Gisborne on Saturday, and followers of boxing should have .'opportunities of seeing him in action in sparring exhibitions prior to his meeting with Parks.
