END IN SIGHT
IMPERIAL CONFERENCE TWO WEEKS TO GO COLONIAL RESOURCES OUTLINE BY MINISTER (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. June 1, noon.) LONDON, May 31. It is expected that the Imperial Conference will terminate on June 15 or 16, when the various resolutions of the committees will bo adopted by the plenary session. This suggestion came from the Crime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain,'this morning, constituting almost his first act. as Earl Baldwin’s successor in the chair. This morning’s meeting of the principal delegates congratulated Mr. Chamberlain on assumption of the Prime Ministership, and welcomed liiin to the presidency of the conference. The remainder of the morning’s discussion was devoted to a statement by the Colonial Secretary, Mr. \V. G. Ormsby-Gorc, outlining the resources and possibilities of the Colonial Empire. All other delegations participated. It, is understood that -Germany’s colonial claims and other political aspects were not mentioned.
