CHEERS FOR TRIPLETS

HASTINGS DEPARTURE OFF TO KARITANE HOME KING’S BOUNTY ASKED (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Tho Anderson triplets, who were born in Hastings on Coronation Day, left: Hastings by the express train this morning for Wellington where they are to enter the Karltane Home. A large number of interested people witnessed their departure. 'The youngsters were snugly tucked up in baskets in Ihc special carriage that had been arranged for them by the Minister of: Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, in response to representations made by Ihe Hon. W. E. Barnard. They were accompanied by two Plunkct nurses.

As the train pulled out cheers were given for the triplets, their parents ami tho nurses, even the engine drivers being affected by the wave of enthusiasm for ns the train approached the Ilcrctaunga street crossing, the whistle played a lively tune. The triplets appeared in excellent health and are reported to be making good progress.

Mr. E. L. Cullen, ALP., stated that he was making representations to the aetiug-I’rimo Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, to have the King’s bounty conferred upon the youngsters.
