DEATH IN TAURANGA
MR. H. L. D. WEST WELL KNOWN ARCHITECT (Por Press Association.) TAURANGA, this day. The death of Mr. 11. L. P. West occurred suddenly from heart failure today. He was an architect in practice hero. He was born in Timarti 50 years ago, and was a con of _ Mr. Daniel West, a well-known architect of the Canterbury Education Board. He was educated at Timaru, where he qualified as an architect. He was interested in polo and hunting. He was a member of the Pareora. Polo Club and the South Canterbury Hunt Club, and was also a gentleman rider. lie rode in many events in the Canterbury Jockey Chib’s meeting some 20 years ago.
