The lecture dealt with the broader phases of farm economies and the relation of mutual providers arid customers as between industry and agriculture, the connecting link being designated as the science of research. The interest taken by Mr. Henry Ford in the development of new uses for agricultural products in industry was emphasised throughout the lecture, which indicated that Mr. Ford lias devoted £1,000,000 to scientific study and the exploitation of the soya bean s remarkable properties for the current year. The various points made by the lecturer were illustrated by an interesting series of photographic stills, and at . the close Rotarian Rees Maadock s motion for a vote of thanks to Rotarian Bignell was carried by accalamation. Rotarian R. McLean was in the chair.
