TRADE IN APRIL VALUATION OF £8,402,000 IMPORTS INCREASE C7B.y><io The re! 111:1s of Now Zealand overseas trade for the month of April show the valuation of exports, with'specie excluded. to have been £8,402,000 in Now Zealand currency, or £2,265,000 tnorc than, in the. corresponding! month last year. It is substantially the highesttotal for any April since values have been expressed in New Zealand currency, and more than double, that shown in April, 1933 and 1935. Imports are also much higher than in any eorresponding month during the past five years, being £783,000 greater in value than for April last year.
