DUKE'S FUTURE WIFE

QUESTION OP TITLE POSSIBLE CABINET ACTION LONDON, May 20. The Court has not yet indicated whether Miss Wallis Warfielcl will have a title after her marriage to the Duke of Windsor. Nevertheless, many of her friends expect that she will he styled, "Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Windsor." The Cabinet may be asked to decide whether she will be allowed to adopt the title of Her Royal Highness. Many members of the Cabinet are said to be opposed to giving her the right to such a'ntle. Some of the Duke of Windsor's friends, a news agency states, are recommending him not to insist upon a decision until time has healed irritations surviving from the days of the abdication. "Pending a ruling from the Court pircular of the College of Heralds, we will merely describe her as 'the wife of His Royal Highness, the Duke of Windsor,' said the publishers of Debrett's Peerage. Publishers of Burke's Peerage said they would be guided solely by the Court's description. The College of Heralds states that the question has not come within its province. "The lady can apply for registration of her own separate Arms," said an official,, "otherwise she assumes the Arms and titles of her husband."
