PLANE DROPS RATIONS

STRANDED SURVEY PARTY RESCUE TRUCK DELAYED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) SYDNEY, May 28. Advice has been received from Alice Springs, Central Australia, that a motor-truck party going to the rescue of Sir Herbert Gepp and other members of the geographical survey party, who were stranded when their plane was forced down, is unlikely to reach its destination before Sunday, owing to tho difficult nature of the country.

In fact, it may yet be necessary to requisition a camel team. PlightLioutenant Hely is daily dropping rations to Sir Herbert Gepp and his party, who appear to be in good health.
