The Eastbourne Borough Council supported recently the proposal to apply to the A 1 blister of Health, to constitute as a separate hospital district the area in the Wellington Hospital Board’s district exclusive of the city of Wellington. The support was given provided other local bodies support a request to the Government to revise the whole system of hospital taxation with a view to taking the matter of expenditure out of the hands of hospital boards.
