It was reported at p, meeting of tho Palmerston North City Council on Monday night that- the Palmerston North Returned Soldiers’ Association had agreed to the .suggestion that the gift of a children's padding pool ai the Esplanade should he substituted for the association’s original intention of marking tho attainment of iis -majority by presenting to the city seats to he placed near tho war memorial. It. is intended to construct the pool with seats at the side. Tho work is to bo carried out with R-.S.A. labour employed by the council.
