The general election passed off calmly in contrast with the warmth of the campaign. A feature of the election the emergence of the Dutch National Socialist Party on the 'German model, led by Dr. Mussert, who expects to get 20 out of 100 seats in the lower chamber. Dr. Colijn at present heads the Coalition with 65 supporters in the chamber. The two main issues in the election have been democracy, represented by Dr. Colijn, versus Nazism, Communism uml rearmament.
