RESIGNATION BY PILOT

REASON RXPLATNED

In our issue of April 0 we published a Press Association message from Sydney suggesting that Mr. H. F. Broadbonl hud resigned from air-line piloting because he was required to get through despite the weather. It has since been explained that Mr. Broadbent did not give the dangers of air-line piloting or that he was required to get through despite the weather as the reason for his resignation, but that it was solely due to his desire to fly solo to England in his attempt on the existing record that he resigned. We wish to apologise to Mr. Broadbent for the erroneous impression the message created.
