FLAG FIVE-HUNDRED ! (Horald Correspondent.) The entertainment committee of the Tolaga Bay Women's Institute held its weekly flag five hundred party in the Reynolds Hall last evening, when nine tables were occupied. A very pleasant evening was spent in friendly competition, and a dainty suppet was served later. ..The four-weekly aggregate for the highest number of clips was concluded and a new aggregate will commence next Tuesday evening. The evening's winners were: Winning table, most flags.—Mr. and Mrs. V. J l '. Hurlstone, Mr. R. Smith, and .Mrs. Frank Lawrence. Ladies, most clips.— Mrs. Len Lawrence. Gentlemen, most clips.—Mr. Gilder. Travelling envelopes.—Mr. J. King and Mrs. Len Lawrence. Additional prizes.—Mrs. if. Potou and Mr. 1). Temple. The travelling envelope prizes were donated by Mrs. Holder, sen., and Mrs. Pickett, juil. The four-weekly aggregate prizes were won by .Mrs. Len Lawrence, ladies, and Mr. Martin, gentlemen. Additional aggregate prizes were awarded to Mrs. Gaskell and Mr. Hutchins, The highest aggregate prize for the ladies was a beautiful cup, saucer and plate presented by Sister Lipsett.
Mrs. W. Ormond and party, Mahia, were visitors to Mangatuna. Tolaga Hay, yesterday.—Mr. and Mrs. W. Lock wood and Mr. K. Lockwood returned to Anaura, Tolaga Bay. from flisborne yesterday.—Mrs. (!. Wilson, who has been a visitor to Gisborne, returned to Tolaga Bay yesterday.
