EXTENSION BY ITALIANS PRACTICALLY WHOLE APE A SOUTH-WEST EXCEPTED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.45 p.m. RUGBY, May 24. Replying to u question in the House of Commons, flics Foreign Under-Secretary, Viscount Cranhorne, stated that the Italian forces had, in the past three or four months, further extended the area of their occupation in Abyssinia. Reliable information .was difficult, to obtain, but ordinarily speaking, the position appeared to be that the Italian Government was now in occupation of the whole ol Abyssinia, with the exception of the district, in the south-west lying to the west, ol Maji and a small aiya. between Rani Bhnnrul and Gambeila adjoining the Sudan frontier.
