SMASH ON CROSSING
ESCAPE BY MOTORIST CAR HIT BY EXPRESS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A remarkable escape from serious injury was experienced by Dr. D 0. Paterson, of Paraparaumu, last night when his car was struck by the northbound Limited express at a level crossing near Paekakariki. The car was badly smashed. The driver’s vision is thought to have been obscured by another train on a loop line near the crossing.
