In the professional wrestling congest, held on Saturday night, Jake Npellmun, lost., beat Pay Richards, Kist. 1011)., by two straight tails to one.

Richards scored in the fourth round with a dump, following two flying tackles. v Spellman equalised in the sixth with four flying tackles, which he finished off with a body press, and gained the deciding fall in the seventh with a body press, after both men were apparently knocked out after coming together in combined living tackles.

The contest was the poorest yet seen in Dnnedin, and was characterised by too much showmanship and elbow jolting.
