NEW TANK REGIMENTS

MECHANISED DIVISIONS
(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. March 8. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 7. The Sunday Times says that Germany is forming two new tank regiments by which she possibly is planning to create a fourth mechanised division.
.She already lias six tank regiments consisting of 250 tanks each, two ol which, with a reconnaissance group or armoured cars, a- mechanised cavalry regiment, and an artillery regiment form a mechanised division able to advance 10 miles hourly as a whole, while the scouts move 20 miles hourly.
These three divisions possess high concentration of fire and arc the most outstanding feature of Germany’s army. Germany also is forming additional artillery units, but lias delayed the fulfilment, of the plan owing to the shortage of officers
