LONDON, Fell. 12. “Germany’s claims to colonies and mandates should be considered, ’ ’ declared Sir Archibald Sinclair, the Liberal Party Leader, in a speech at Pontypridd. “The attainment, of! real, lasting peace depends mainly on our power to convince Herr Hitler that we are loyal to the League of Nations and are lirmly resolved to join other peace lovers in resistance to aggression, and also in convincing Ilerr Hitler that we wish to co-operate with Germany on a basis of equality and fully 'to consider her colonial and other grievances, subject to the indispensable condition that there will be a general peace settlement involving Germany agreeing to join in a measure of international disarmament., to submit all international disputes to arbitration and grant all nations, including Russia, equality of rights and the status she herself demands, and also give the natives pf any restored colony the same guarantees against exploitation, conscription and militarism as in the mandates, and guaranteeing an open door trade. “Germany is entitled to claim similar guarantees from the others.”
