POVERTY BAY HERD TESTS
FIGURES FOB FEBRUARY AVERAGE 30.69L8. OF FAT HIGHEST HERD AT 48LB. The average buttcrfat production by .herds, tested last month by the Poverty Bav Group Herd-Testing Association . was 30.091 b, an increase of 1.531 b of butterfat over February last year. Nearly 1000 more cows were tested last month than a year ago.
The highest herd, one of 20 cows, was in the Ngatapa-Patutahi group, and averaged over 481 b of butterfat with an average test of . r >.4 per cent. The highest cows, one in the Puha-Te Karaka group and another in the Waipaoa-Uisborne group, produced over 681 b in the month. A summary of the figures is given as follows by the secretary, Mr. M.
