NAPIER ROWING REGATTA

DRAW FOR POSITIONS NEXT WEEK’S FIXTURE ASSOCIATION MEETING Matters concerning the one-day regatta to be held on Saturday week on Die Ngaruroro River. Olive, by the East Coast Rowing Association were discussed last evening at the meeting of the association. There were present Messrs. A. Kirk, chairman, C. W. Muir, ,1. Webb, W. McLeod, A. F. Alien, D. Jones. G. Ardern. R. Neilson. W. Michie, and the bon secretary, Mr. R. Mahon. With reference to the use of the association’s eiglit-oar, Mr. Webb moved that the precautions of marking out the course with directional posts should be taken as soon as possible. The motion was. carried, all members agreeing that the plan was a wise one on account ol the frail nature of the craft. Following is the draw for positions for the Napier one-day regatta, reading from the Napier side of the course to the Hastings bank: L.V.A. Fours.—Seniors : Gisborne. Napier, and Poverty Bay. Juniors: Gisborne, Poverty Bay, Napier, and Wairoa. Maidens: Napier, Wairoa, Poverty Bay, and Gisborne. Lightweights: Napier, Poverty Bay, Wairoa, and Gisborne. Youths: Gisborne, Wairoa, Napier, and Poverty Bay. Harris and Hill Pair-oar.—Seniors: Poverty Bay, Napier, and Gisborne. Juniors: Napier, Poverty Bay, and Gisborne. Lightweight; Gisborne, Napier, and Poverty Bay. Youths: Napier, Gisborne and Poverty Bay. Colley and Kirk Double Sculls. —Seniors: Gisborne and Poverty Bay.
