NO CONFLICT WITH TOWN

The Cook County Council to-day decided to retain the Thursday half-holi-day, despite the change in the borough to Saturday.

To-day it was necessary for the council ‘to fix the statutory half-holi-day for the year, and the county clerk, Mr. F, T. Itobinson, read the notice received from the Labour Department on the matter.

Cr. J. Tombleson: Have- there been any requests'; Tlie county clerk : No.

Cr. F. S./Bowen: How do we conflict with the borough. The chairman, Cr. Charles Matthews: Although the. borough now has, Saturday, there is no reason why we should change. On the motion of Cr. M. T. B. Hall, it- was decided to retain Thursday as the half-day.
