SUDDEN DEATH IN CITY
MR. W. GRAHAM JAMIESON FRIEND OF N.Z. SOLDIERS (Por Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The death of Dir. William Graham Jamieson occurred suddenly to-day. He was 75 years of age. He was known to thousands of returned soldiers for lus work during the Great War with the Y.M.C.A. in Egypt and Franco. His quarters wore close to the front line and on one occasion Iris lint was destroyed by shelldive. He did a great deal for the weli-being of soldiers and founded the Shakespeare Hut, in London, furnishing it at his own expense. He was an active worker in the ■Anglican Church and last night was in attendance at the synod. He was ilie head of a contracting firm which carried out many large jobs in New Zealand.
