HOMES AND FACTORIES CHIEF JUSTICE IMPRESSED BACK FROM TRIP ABROAD (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sir Michael Myers, the Chief Justice, arrived back from the Homeland by the Rangitiki with Lady Myers. While at Home he sat as a member of the. Privy Council and had an audience with the King and was sworn in at the largest council meeting that had taken place for some time, that at Which business was done relating to the Coronation. In an interview, Sir Dfichacl said lie could not help being struck with the ! number of new houses in and around London. Also there had been a tremendous increase in the last 10 years in the number of large factories quilt. Many ol them were American manufacturing houses. It was pleasing to see the amenities nowadays attaching to these new factories, gardens, parks, social clubs for the employees and athletic clubs and recreation grounds being provided. Sir Michael was present at the reception given by Sir dames Parr to the Olympic champion, Dir. J. E. Lovelock, on his return from Germany. He said there was no doubt that Dir. Lovelock was keen to make the trip to New Zealand. The new High Commissioner, Dir. W. J. Jordan, had made a very good imnression, and Sir Dlichael had no doubt that Mr. Jordan’s term of office would be a highly successful one.
