GOLF CLUBS CRITICISED QUESTION IN HOUSE (.Parliamentary Reporter,) WELLINGTON, this day. Thai certain golf clubs are excluding working men from membership, though llu v are prepared to pay the high fees demanded, was an allegation in a question in the House of Representatives bv Mr. U. Carr (Labour, Timaru) who asked (lie Minister of Internal Affairs, the lion. W. L. Parry, to have the matter investigated with a view lo having the concessions allowed certain clubs or the membership restrictions removed. The Minister replied that concessions in respect to land valuation were applicable to all sports bodies, and not only io golf clubs, so Hint, possibly the same eorisiitevai ions which the member raised in regard to golf (labs also apply in ihe case of other sports organisations.
