Last Night’s Forecast ; General sftnation. —An anticyclone extends across the North Tasman Sea, and northern New Zealand, while the first of an extensive scries of westerly depressions is approaching the .South Island. Forecast. —Winds: Moderate, to strong north-westerly to westerly prevailing, reaching gale force in places south of New Plymouth and Napier. Seas (Now Zealand waters): Rough south of Cape Kgrnoiit and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere slight to moderate, but, later, rising north of Cape Fgrnont, and in off-shore waters south of Napier.
