Nine vessels, totalling nearly 30,000 tons, were launched in September, bringing the year’s output to date to 74 vessels, aggregating nearly 215,000 tons. The 1935 output lias already been exceeded, and with numerous vessels reaching live launching stage, the total tonnage this year may be well over the 3C0.0C0 mark. This, however, would still be below that of 1930. which was 529.CC0 tons. The peak year of Clyde shipbuilding was 1913. when the tonnage total was 756,976.
