FUND REACHES £250,000

Reed. 9.30 a.in. RUGBY, Sept. 29. A cheque from members of the staff of the Imperial War Graves Commission received at the Mansion House brought the total of the. King George V national memorial fund to the £250,000 mark. The chairman of the memorial fund executive, declared that the success of the memorial plans are now assured and it will lie possible to have a splendid statue in an historic setting at Westminster and playing fields throughout the length and breadth of the laud, each scheme happily commemorating two aspects of His late Majesty’s life and interests.
