YOUTH'S PAINFUL .WOUND Painful injuries resulting from a bite by a horse were suffered by F.arle Egcrton, aged 16, at Kiritaki, Southern Hawke's Bay. The youth was attempting to cnteli a horse on a. farm of the Husband estate, where he is employed, and when the animal was about a yard distant, it lunged forward with its teeth bared andjnt Rgor-ton between the eyes, knocking him to the ground. The horse had never been intractable before, and it made no further attack. The youth was unable to receive attention until the manager returned some time later. He was then taken to Dannevirke and a doctor inserted several stitches in the wound, which later became worse.- Egerton was then admitted to Dannevirke Hospital.
