BRIGHTER SUITS

NEW COLOURS FOR MEN AMERICAN FASHIONS "IT". - - SYDNEY, Sept. 22. -Mr. ,C- Marshall, who returned to Australia by the Maunganui on Saturday from the-United-States, said that men's fashions in America were taking new forms. Suits were of the "swingback" type, having pleats in the back below the armpits, and generally they were tighter, particularly in the waist, and were made of softer materials than formerly. The tones of all articles of at tiro were matched, including hats and shoes, and the prevailing colours were grey, cream, and green. Handkerchiefs were five-pointed. Doublebreasted suits were popular, and evening clothes were seldom worn.
