COMMITTEE APPOINTED LEVY SCHEME APPROVED The New Zealand Hockey Association has appointed -Messrs. R. MeLeod, of Wellington,.W. Xewsham, of Auckland, and C. C. Holland, of Christ•hurcli, as a selection committee to .'hoose the New Zealand team for Australia next year, owing to the inability to act of Mr. R. L. Thompson and Mr. s. G. Holland, M.P. A sub-committee set up to consider lie imposition of a levy on till players o raise funds to send a New Zealand earn to flic Olympic Games at Tokio ii 1i)40 recommended that a levy of Is i year should be made on all players )f 16 years and over. The recommenlation was referred to a special nieetng of delegates for the necessary aleration to the rules to be made."
