WRESTLING
TO-NIGHT'S PRO. MATCH BLOMFIELD AND PENCHEFF When the Gisborne Wrestling Association accepted the opportunity of matching "Lofty" 13lomlield and George Penchcff in a heavyweight professional wrestling match for this evening, some doubt existed among the supporters 1 of the association as to whether both the wrestlers would be available. They recalled two incidents this season when what looked like most satisfactory matches, were lost owing to one of the principals withdrawing at a late hour. Many felt in connection with the Blomfield-l'enchcff match that it was a little too good to be staged in Gisborne, when the metropolitan associations could offer bigger money for the same -bout. However, the Gisborne association has received assurances that, the two big men will take their places in the
ijisborne ring to-night, and the form shown by both in their recent contests mdicate-s thai patrons should get their money's worth of thrills and skill, with -he latest in tactical developments. rVnehetr lias; just come from the United .States, and his reputation there and in Australia is that of a colourful contestant, with a Roland for every Oliver offered by any of his opponents. Blomlield will have a slight weight- advantage, and he will be doing his best to square off the advantage Pencheif gained over him at their first meeting a weeic ago. The amateurs engaged in to-night's preliminaries are all in good training, and the star bouts in the first half promise to be those between 1. Buscke and K. Burton, and T. Stevens and A. Read.
