CRICKET UMPIRES
P.B. ASSOCIATION ANNUAL REPORT The annual report of the Poverty Bay Cricket Umpires' Association, to bo presented at next Wednesday's meeting. states : "Members are to be congratulated upon their regular attendance and punctuality at all matches. "Our association, largely owing to the energy of our treasurer, Mr. W. J. Town, is very fortunate in being able to show a credit balance of £7 14s lOd as re vealed by the balance-sheet. "We regret, to record the resignation of Mr. A. 11. Baker, who left us during the past season. Mr. Baker has been for many years, a, staunch supporter of the game and his loss is greatly regretted.

Lynex, who, since (lie in augural ion of the association has beei our lion, secretary, relinquished this office (lining the year but fortunately In is still giving us the benefit oi his knowledge of the laws of cricket as a niembei of the. association. The vacancies thu.created were filled by Mr. J, CrawfordSmith, who was elected secretary and delegate to the Poverty Bay Cricket Association."
Thanks were expressed to Mesdames Bignell and Lee, who supplied afternoon tea to the umpires, and all others who had helped the association.
