OIL DIVINING
.Special .interest, in. oil divining centred in Book’s Gardens, Wanganui, when a large number of citizens accepted the invitation of Mr. C. McDonald, a diviner, of Woodville, to witness his methods for locating oil or water.
Tim demons! rat ion was followed very closely, anil a. number of people also had the opportunity of frying out their powers with the rod. In one or two instances the rod responded to the water.
Mr. McDonald plotted out an area over 100 yards in diameter, under which, lie contended, was a- large gusher.
