DOCTORS IN AMERICA That the United States today leads the world in nearly every branch ol medicine, particularly in preventive medicine. and in the attack on nervous diseases.’ is tin* opinion of Dr. Keinick Dean, who has returned to Palmerston North from a six months visit to America. American medicine to-day,* he sad, was., truly international, and the bed doctors, of Europe were flocking io the States, sorting up in practice-and accepting in trivial posit ions in ihe various clinics. The result was -that ihe country seemed pre-eminent in most phases-ol medicine. The new knowledge was being shared with other-countries,'and the result was a greater understanding, of diseases of all kinds.' Research was libcially endowed. * Dr. Dean declared that- the people of America were definitely diet-irnnded, and I hey* were becoming educated in physical and mental hygiene. To-day's message from the medical world was one* oi abttnant hope for the chronically sick and''the sufferers front nervous'diseases.
