COMMON GAMING HOUSE
TWO MEN CHARGED ' FINES OF £75 IN CITY (Pei Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Alexander Johnston, a salesman, and Stanley Douglas Thomson, a clerk, admitted using premises as a common gaming house when charged yesterday in the Police Court. “I have never known, a bookmaker ,who was not able to pay his fine,” said the magistrate in imposing a fine of £75 on each of the accused.
