FAREWELL SURPRISE PARTY (1 fora Id Correspondent.) Last Saturday evening a good muster of friends visited the home of 31 r. and Mrs. Davidson, Rakauroa, to bid goodbye to their daughter. Miss Patty Davidson. who is leaving the district. The weather was ideal and friends were in attendance from the surrounding districts. The large drawing-room was cleared for games and dancing, while the music vvas supplied by Mrs. C. Davidson, Mr. Smart, and radio dance programmes. The duties of 31. G were ably carried out by 31 r. L. Davidson. A parcel game was played, Miss L. Fielder proving the winner. A delicious supper was served and afterwards 31iss i). Scholium, on behalf of the IToranga and Matawai basketball clubs, presented .Miss Davidson with a handsome handbag. and 31iss K. Smart also presented the guest of honour with a crystal vase from her girl friends. Miss Davidson suitably -replied. All joined m singing “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow,” followed by rousing cheers. Mr. K. Mortlemun thanked 31 r. and Mrs. Davidson for putting their home at the disposal of the party. “For They are Jolly Good Fellows’’ was sung again, followed by cheers. A most enjoyable time was spent, and the happy party was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Laifg Svne. ’ ’
