MIDNIGHT ASSAULT
YOUNG WOMAN ATTACKED AUCKLAND 1 NCI DE NT (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Miss Thelma. O.vion. aged 21 years, was the. victim of a midnight attack when entering the gate of her home at Avondale at about midnight, after returning alone from a dance. She was accosted By a mail on a cycle, who placed Iris hand across her mouth. She hit his lingers, gaining release from his grasp, whereupon he struck her several violent Mows and knocked her down on the concrete. When she. screamed, lie rode away, lie was chased by the girl's father.
Last week, two school children in the same district wore molested by a man on a cycle.
