ULTIMATUM FOE INVENTOR .GUN NOT FOR- SOVIET PARIS, July 7. . Colonel Bellenger, inventor of a -secret sight for an aircraft gun, today presented an ultimatum to M. Cot, the Air Minister, who is accused by M. Henri de Kerillis, in the Echo de Paris, of having promised the Soviet cither a plan of the secret sight or an actual model of it. The gun is of 23 millimetres calibre. It is claimed' that it is unrivalled and will ensure the French Air Force superiority over enemy aircraft guns. Colonel"Bellenger, in .a letter made public to-day, states his determination not to reveal the secret of his gunsight if it is to be communicated to Soviet Russia or any other foreign Power. , '' This gun ensures us a groat advantage," he states. "To hand it over to anvone else would be treachery. ! '"'The gun, however, is incomplete without its sight appliances. I -have experimented in these secret sights and have perfected them. I am workfor mv country and I will not consent to the result of my work being passed to the Soviet. "If Ml Cot pledges himself to keep for France all the inventions submitted to him in the interest of national defence I will Rive my secret to him. If he refuses to give this guarantee I will keep it to myself, much as T shall regret it."
