SENIOR B GRADE The question of entering a team in the senior B grade was discussed, and it was decided to bring the matter up at the association's annual meeting and then see if good support were forthcoming. It was decided that the club's practice night should be ou Thursdays if tins met with the approval of the assoriai ion.

Regarding tho junior team, it was reported that they'finished third in the championship. 'I his was considered to ho a very creditable performance, ns at limes the team had to fako the field short-handed. Those who were able, to turn out regularly received the maximum amount of enjoyment out of the games, and several showed promise of becoming very good players.

Donations were received from Mr. B. Green and Mr. P. Bailey, the members showing their appreciation to the donors hv acclamation.

Votes of thanks were accorded Mr. If. Green, scorer, Mr. M. R. Fry, auditor, Mr. .1. W. Kane for the use of the Gisborne fire brigade, rooms, and tho ladies for supplying afternoon tea to the players.

The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.

A meeting convened by Mr. W. 'Hunt with the object of forming a cricket club, was held in the V.M.C.A. Hall in Bartlc-tt's on Thursday night, a. good number of enthusiastic, cricketers being present, Mr. VV. Harris-Daw was elected to the chair.

It was unanimously decided to form a club, .'mil alter some discussion it was decided In name it the Bartlett's Cricket Club. Air. \V. L. Jli-Jl. assistant engineer, was elected president. Messrs. A. Clark. R. King, .1. i;.. Hector, Al. ■lJraysoi), and W. Carbott were elected vice-presi-dents, A management committee of seven, was formed, the, following, being elected: Messrs. E. 11. Dow, Mifa Poiiaiii. \V. Harris-Daw. 11. (libbard 1 , \V. Fergus, Al. Wothl ami ]"). Blair. Mr. W. Harris-Daw was elected the chairman of the committee, and Mr, 1). Rlair the club secretary ami treasurer.

It was agreed Uiat Uio subscription for playing members should lio 7s 6d, and for honorary members 2s 6d for the season. Before the- meeting terminated 21- membei's' names were put down and several subscriptions were handed to the secretary.
