LAND SPEED RECORD BID
EYSTON PLANNING OAR POSSIBLE 360 M.P.H. LONDON, Sept. 2">. The British racing driver, Captain T. E. V. Eyston, is building a £20,000 ear to attack Sir Malcolm Campbell's land speed record of 301 miles an hour. The ear will have n Polls Royce engine of 2700 h.p. and be .capable of a speed of .360 miles an hour. Captain Eyston says that at least three American cars and one German car are being built to attack Sir Malcolm Campbell's record. "As Sir Malcolm has now retired, and for the sake of British prestige, I am having a go," he added.
He has not yet decided where he will make the attempt on the record.
