HOME TRADE ACTIVE BEST KINDS SOUGHT (Reed. Sept. 25, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Sept, 24. At the London wool sales 10,618 bales were offered, including 5138 from New Zealand. The total sold was 8245 bales, although the selection was poor. The demand from the home trade was active for the best kinds, but inferior sorts were heavily withdrawn. New Zealand lots sold as follows: Slipe halfbred lambs, Fairfield, top price 18d, average 17d; greasy crossbred, Tin Diamond, top price 14d, average 12£d.
