MUDGWAY AND PLUTO MATCH FOR OCTOBER LISTER LIN 0 - PLUTO SHOW NICiITT The Gisborne Boxing Association has •received word from N. Mudgway, the well-known New Zealand welterweight, that lie will be available to meet Bill Pluto, the Sydney welter who is coming to the Dominion under contract to the Gisborne association, oil October 14. This fight will he the first- of three for which Pinto is under engagement, the second being fixed for Show night. The New Zealand welterweight champion, Don Sterling, has boon approached will’ an offer of a light with Pluto for the Show week date, and has provisionally accepted, though the match will not bo finalised until Pluto’s arrival, when terms will he discussed.
11l consequence of the engagement of N. Mudgway to meet Pluto in Gisborne on October 14, his fight with Watty Robertson, Gisborne, which the Taumarunui association had hoped to stage early in October, has been postponed. It will take place, it is expected, a few days after Mudgway meets Pluto.
