A development of the Australian accent in New Zealand since, his last visit nine years ago has been noticed by Mr. Frank Foster, an English business man. Otherwise, lie said in an interview in Christchurch, New Zealanders were if possible more British than the British, lie also had a word of praise lor the improvement in New Zealand roads since his last visit. They wciy, almost as good as the roads in England, he said, which wore the subject of favourable comment everywhere. Mr. Foster commented on the manner in which the public were served with newspapers.
