. A well-known resident of Tauranga, Mr. Alfred P. Tunics, died on Sunday in his sixty-sixth year. lie was the youngest son of the late Captain and Mrs. P. A. 1). Tttnks, early residents of Tauranga. As a young man he spent, some years in sheepfarming near Waikaremofina, ami later was for a period in Australia. Returning to Tauranga, he took an active interest in local affairs, holding office as a borough councillor and subsequently as Mayor.
